Welcome to my dream home site. I know this may seem silly, but just recently - I written an essay on what I would do if I had a million dollars. A big focus on that was a home that I would be happy to live in. I would have to say, out of all of the things I would do, this would be the one I put the most thought into. I felt it would only be appropriate to go into detail about this.
The dream home would be a 1 story home with a basement. The reason why the house would be just one story is to help address my physical disability. If I was to have multiple stories which I would have to use on a regular basis, than an elevator would be needed. There would however be two sections that would stand higher then the rest of the home. One could think of these as towers, and intended to make the house unique. They would however serve a purpose. I would be detailing that in the Floor 2 Area.
I am one of those people that believe that mankind should act responsibly in the environment. Therefore, all of the details within the dream home would be focused on that aspect. Another reason of why I would want to be environmentally responsible, is in the end - it would save money, and may even generate a small income. I would of course explain this in a little bit.
A home should also be safe. While there are minimum standards of safety in new homes, this would go an extra step or two further. Security would also be rather important. A home security system would be in place, as well as surveillance to cover much of the house assuring that criminals would be caught
And of course, a home is just a house without some personality, and enjoyment. This would be taken into consideration in regards to this house. While the personality would increase the cost of the home, it would not necessarily change the value. Therefore, taxes would remain as low as possible while keeping the value and personal integrity(T) of the home. If I had my dream home, I would want to spend the rest of my life here.
When noting dimensions throughout this site, which would be rare, but possible. The dimensions would always be in the reference of the frontage (facing the street) × width (front to back).
